Our Story

Founder & CEO, Saba Torabian

Dr. Torabian’s passion and inspiration to help families and children with autism came after both of her sons, Cameron and Ryan, were diagnosed with autism. Motivated by a vision both bold and bright, she set forth to establish a center unlike any other. It would be a place where empathy sprang not just from professional training but from the profound depths of shared experiences and cultural connections. This center would not merely be a clinic but a community hub where families like hers could find understanding, support, and celebration. A place where parents wouldn’t just receive coping strategies but would feel seen and supported, where children like Cameron and Ryan could find not only therapy but also acceptance and friendship.

I made ICAN to be the Center for parents that I always wanted for my own kids, and never had.

Established in 2018

When the practice first opened, it was in a small, 2-room suite in Mountain View, California. Dr. Torabian served clients directly and only over time was she able to bring on her first staff members. Despite the ups and downs of starting a business from the ground up, and surviving the global pandemic, the business continued to grow until the tiny practice shifted to a full scale stand-alone building located in Cupertino. From 3 clients to well beyond hundreds. In addition to clients, the company has proudly sponsored multiple professionals from entry-level through graduating with the certification of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
