Social Skills Group
Assistant Clinical Director, Jenna Stanton
I have directly led our social skills group for over two years previously and now oversee the program as a BCBA. I believe in the importance of moving beyond 1:1 support and giving children the opportunity to thrive in a fun, safe environment where they can ask questions, seek guidance, and develop independence. I am passionate about creating a space where kids can form deep friendships while building confidence and life skills. Each week, we explore engaging topics tailored to the children’s needs, using interactive activities and open communication to encourage growth and challenge. Watching the group evolve has been incredibly rewarding, when we first started, the kids played independently during breaks, and over time, they have become close friends and inseparable peers. It has been an honor to witness these connections and support each child as they challenge themselves and thrive.
Through guided activities and peer interaction, our social skills group empowers children to build friendships, confidence, and independence in a safe and encouraging environment.

Overview
Our social skills group brings together 5–8 children of similar ages and abilities in a fun, supportive setting. The group is guided by an experienced lead staff member who creates opportunities for the children to practice important life skills such as self-awareness, self-management, decision-making, and building healthy relationships. Each week, we explore a different topic designed to help children deepen their understanding, challenge themselves, and apply new skills in meaningful ways. Unlike traditional one-on-one sessions, this group setting also creates natural opportunities for communication, friendship, and independence to help your child build confidence and thrive in everyday social situations.
